Reid-Hillview Runup Change
As part of the 2024 Signage and Marking project at Reid-Hillview Airport, the runup area was moved from a small space adjacent to the ends of the runways to a large open area in the middle of the airport. The new area is in an uncontrolled section of pavement and has six identified runup pads with easy in and out. Most aircraft will enter the runup on taxilane N1 and then maneuver to an open runup pad, which can be identified by the black squares painted on the pavement. Aircraft must notify the Control Tower on ground frequency when they finish their runup and request authorization to taxi to the runway. The image below provides a layout of the new runup area.
